The First Serious Make-Up Tutorial in the History of Tween Dreams!

I don't believe I'm actually doing a make-up tutorial. Who would've thought little Roxanne would ever be doing a make up tutorial! Haha, I'm taking this too far.

Anyways, this is just a very, very light, everyday tutorial that I use daily.
So here it goes:

Taking an eyeliner, (any color that suits your eye color) line your water line.

Using a mascara, (I personally like Illegal Lenghts) well, apply mascara.

Curl your eyelashes using an eyelash curler (pretty self-explanatory)

If you want, you can add lip gloss.

And you're done!

Oh god, I suck at makeup tutorials. Sorry.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed this.

Winter Trendz

Hehe, I like the "z" at the end of "trends"

Okay, I am like SO DAMN PISSED OFF AT MYSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last update post, I said I'll never slack ever again and look at me now. It's been 3 months!!!! Anyways, I really really think I'm due for a post, so today, I'll update you on winter's trends.

Camo: Camo is HUGE this winter. Whether it's t-shirts, jackets, sweatshirts or even jeans, it's def a trend this year.

Sweatshirts: I mean, seriously. Who doesn't love a decent sweatshirt. No matter what print or color, these will never go out. (P-S, does anyone have a better word for this because I kind of hate the word "sweatshirt"

Plaid: I am really happy about this. I feel a revival of the plaid skirt coming, and you have no idea how happy I am about this. Also, plaid shirts are still huge, especially when embellished with studs.

This was my first post in forever, kind of like the "rebirth of Tween Dreams"
Haha, hope this was helpful

August & September Favorites

Today I'm gonna combine 2 months and FINALLY do my August favourites, as well as my September favorites. Now that I'm in school, it's easier to keep track of products.

1. Rosebud lip balm: I had this a while ago, and I lost it, but now I found it again and I LOVE IT!!!

2. Spectro cleanser: This is an amazing cleanser, I would recommend it.

3. Sweaters: Now that it's getting colder, I've been getting a lot of mileage out of my sweater collection.

4. Tumblr: I've developed a tiny Tumblr addiction. See my other blog posts to view my Tumblr

5. Twitter: I've also regained my Twitter addiction and that's kind of terrible.

6. My bunny iPod case: I've only had it for a week, but it already has made my favourites for this month.

7. OPI Mini Neon Collection: This is more of an August favourite, but these nail polishes, OH MY GOD!

8. Songza: In late August, I had an addiction to Songza. It went away, but now it's back

My favourite songs this month:

"Gold Forever" by The Wanted: I'm personally not much of a fan of The Wanted, but I discovered this song on Songza and I really like it

"Marvins Room" by Drake: I know I'm a little late on this song, but oh my God it's amazing!!!

"Pyramids" by Frank Ocean: This is such a great song! I've been listening to it a lot lately!

"Live While We're Young" by One Direction: I could not have not mentioned this song! I think it may be every girl's favourite song right now, but I absoloutely love it! I think it might be my favorite One Direction song (maybe because it's the only one that I haven't played a million times yet?)

Anyways, these were my August and September favourites, I hope they were helpful!

Galaxy Print Is In

I have an obsession with the galaxy print. It's cray. I love it!

This trend is seen very often on Tumblr and stuff. I really think it's perfect: it's a great pattern to wear because it's not too loud, but still makes a statement. This looks especially good when paired with black. I actually haven't seen this in stores yet, but I'm sure stores will carry the trend soon.

Hope you enjoyed this brief post! Bye!

A Very Brief Yet Not So Brief Update On Tween Dreams

Oh lord.

It's been an inexcusable amount of time. I haven't been on here for a MONTH! And I only did very few posts this summer. What happened to blogging daily? I thought I was cool. Aha that has nothing to do with anything.

Anyways, the reason why I took a break is because of how uninspired I was. It's really sad to think that I used to be so consistent with blogging and now I'm not. I will promise to post more often. I know I always say that but I will. I was really in a rut with blog posts, I feel like I covered every subject. But I didn't. There is still much, much more to come.

Also, I may have not been on this blog as often, but I HAVE been on Tumblr. I started doing blog posts there on just non fashion related things related to my fellow tweens. This is still my fashion blog though. I'll post on both blogs.

That wasn't a brief update. I will try not to slack ever again.

Oh and in case you didn't see my post where I talk about this, here's my Tumblr:

Trend Alert: Studs

This fall, studs are huge! At stores like Zara, every new item is studded. But, this season, the punky trend gets an upgrade. Sure, you expect to see studs on edgier pieces, like leather jackets, but what's very huge this year is more unexpected items like studded shorts, (easy summer-to-fall transition) studded denim jackets and studded ballet flats. Like all trends, there are rules: only wear one studded item per outfit! Too many studs looks way too trying.

So, yeah that was my very brief blog post, hope you enjoyed!

4 Ways To Wear: Floral Shorts

Floral shorts are huge right now! I think they are a perfect summer look that can easily be transferred into fall. You may have seen the outfit I posted on Tween Dreams' Instagram (which I just made yesterday and the username is tweendreams) where I questioned ho to wear floral shorts, but now I have come up with a whole 4 ways to wear!

Way #1: I know this is the obvious choice, but pairing a pair of bright floral shorts with a solid, subtle tank top can NEVER go wrong.

Way #2: If you're still into the basics but want a more trendy look, you can try pairing the shorts with a button-down. Sleeveless button downs are my favorite for the summer.

Way #3: For a very cool late summer to early fall look, try this: pair floral shorts with a tank top and a cardigan or blazer. The cardigan or blazer or whatever jacket you choose will make the look mature, but the shorts will keep it fun.

Way #4: I really love the combination of floral and denim. A pair of floral shorts and a denim shirt, jacket or vest is a perfect look!

Hope my tips were helpful, and I hope you enjoyed this post!

It means so much! I am geneuinely sorry if I haven"t been posting lately. I have just been very buisy. I was working on a YouTube cover (visit my Twitter for the link, in case you're interested!) and I've just been really, really buisy. But I promise, I will have way more posts.

Once again, you have no idea how much 20,000 blog views means to me!

DIY Bleached Cutoff Shorts Tutorial

I am a slacker. I haven't posted in ages. Well, today will be my first post in forever.

Anyways, today I will show you how to achieve these adorable bleached cutoff shorts. They are super simple to make and so cool, so let's get started with the tutorial.

You'll Need:

A pair of jeans (medium to dark wash)

A bucket

Step 1:

Cut your pair of jeans to your desired length (make sure your jeans are medium to dark wash or else the bleached effect won't work.

Step 2:

Using tweezers or any tool you desire, fray your shorts.

Step 3:

Pour some bleach in a bucket. Make sure you are wearing old clothes because the bleach can discolor your clothes. I would also recommend working outside.

Step 4:

Let your shorts sit in the bleach for 15-25 minutes, or until you're happy with the result.

Step 5:

Carefully place your shorts in the washing machine. Make sure there are no other clothes in the washing machine. Wash with only a little bit if soap and nothing else. Then, put your shorts in the dryer. And your shorts are complete!

So I hope you can try these shorts! Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

Since it is now JULY, here are my June favorites! I am very sorry if I'm late, so yeah.

June was a huge month for me, I graduated elementary school, went to Ottawa, basically one of the best months for me this year!

1. Essie nail polish in ''Peach Daiquiri'': What a perfect summer color!

2. Black Bloch ballet flats: I wore these at my graduation, and I've been pretty much wearing them daily since.

3. L'Oreal Le Gloss in Peach Fizz: Ever since they discontinued Rimmel's Royal Gloss, I need a new lip gloss. I purchased this one a while back, and I was rather impressed by the formula.

4. Swedish Fish: So, at my grad, they had this candy bar where you can make your own bags of candy. In that bag, I had some Swedish Fish. Now, that's my new favorite candy, it's so amazing!

5. Illamasqua nail polish in Rare: This has to be one of the coolest neon nail polishes ever! Plus, the formula is amazing.

6. I have another favorite nail polish. Essie Nail Polish in Mezmerize: I love this color, it's dark but yet still fun!

Favorite song:

To find out my favorite songs at the moment, see my most recent post!

So there are my June Favorites! I hope you enjoyed!

My Favorite Songs At The Moment

I'm really sorry if it's been a while since my last post.

Anyways, a couple months ago, I did a post on my favorite songs at the moment. Well, today I'm going to do an updated version of that post. I've been really into listening to music lately, I've been making lots of playlists and just listening to lots of songs and albums lately, so yeah. I think it would be pretty amazing if you would check out some of the more obscure songs mentioned in this post.

Here are my anthems! (if that makes sense!)

Up, Up and Away by Kid Cudi

She'll Be Dancing by Basement Superheroes

Stole My Heart by One Direction

Self Inflicted by Katy Perry

Waterfalls by TLC

Good Girl Gone Bad by Rihanna

Just Like A Pill by P!NK

Next 2 You by Chris Brown and Justin Bieber

And that's all I can think of for now!

Summer Outfit Ideas

I've been working on this post forever, and I am so glad I can finally publish it!
Here are some outfits I put together!

Outfit #1

This is one of my favorite outfits! It is definitely a casual outfit that can be worn anywhere.

Top: Forever 21

Shorts: Levi's

Watch: Baby G

Black, white and lavender bracelet: Gift shop in Hampton Beach

Pearl bracelet: Dollar store

Sandals: Zara

This is another outfit I love! The top is a bit more on the dressy side, but I ''casuallized'' it with denim shorts. This is a nice outfit for when you want to be a bit more dressy, but not too dressy.

Top: American Apparel

Shorts: Levi's

Shoes: Blotch

Watch: Betsey Johnson

Bracelet: Shambala

I really like this outfit as well for another casual look. I took a pretty, feminine top and paired it with the same Levi's shorts and Converse to give it a bit more edge.

Top: Zara

Shorts: Levi's

Shoes: Converse

Bracelet: H&M

This is a really cool outfit for a chillier summer day. It is very casual and is also a little more on the crazy side.

Top and pants: Material Girl

Black bracelet: H&M

Striped bracelet: Gift shop at Hampton Beach

Friendship bracelet: Made by me

(I would pair this look with black flats, but I didn't have black flats at the time so yeah)

This is another look I really love. It's the perfect summery look for day and night.

Romper: Material Girl

Beaded Bracelet: Delilah's (I think it's a local accessory shop)

'Roxanne' bracelet: My cousin got it for me from Argentina

(I would also pair this look with black flats, which I didn't have when this photo was taken)

So, I hope you enjoyed this summer outfits post! Hopefully, I gave you some outfit ideas! I'm sorry if the image quality is crappy.

Get The Look: Taylor Swift (Part 2)

I haven't done a 'Get The Look' in forever! Well, I will do one today! I was looking at a magazine and I saw this picture of Taylor Swift and I liked her outfit, so I decided to do a 'Get The Look' on it. I love this look because it's the perfect dressy-yet-casual outfit! Enjoy the post!

Top: Taylor Swift wears a cat crop top with this look. Tops similar to what Taylor is wearing can be found at places like Forever 21, H&M and Urban Outfitters.

Skirt: The ''Eyes Open'' singer pairs the crop top with a high-waisted ballerina-inspired skirt. Search places like American Apparel if you want something similar.

Flats: Taylor pairs the cool outfit with bedazzled flats. I'd personally pair this look with basic black flats, but any kind of flats would complete the look perfectly.

Hopefully, you enjoyed this ''Get The Look''!

What's On My iPod Tag!

It's been awhile! Well, today school let out, so it's summer! That means I'll try my hardest to blog more often! :)

Anyways, today, I'm doing the What's On My IPod/iPhone tag. This is just a really fun tag and so yeah.

Here is my current case. It is from Cath Kidston and it is very pretty. I got it at the Apple Store.

This is my home screen. Please do not judge my wallpaper. :)

On my first page, I have all the classic built-in apps that are not necessary going through.

My second page is where things get more interesting. First, I have 'Stocks' (which I never used) and the 'Utilities category that holds more built-in apps.

But, on this page I have:

Twitter (follow me @roxanneizzo and @mytweendreams)

Instagram (my IG is roxanneizzo)

Trendabl (my Trendabl is the same as my IG)

Flick Soccer (this is a very fun app)

MSN (to KIT with friends)

Blogger (what i'm using right now! Normally, I blog VIA my laptop, but since i'm using pictures for this post, I upload the pics directly from my iPod.)

Music Quiz

GIFBoom (which I rarely use, but if you want to follow me, my username is roxanneizzo)

Fruit Ninja

Glow Hockey

OvenBreak (which i'm somewhat addicted to)

PopBooth (I never even use it! But it's fun!)
Temple Run

Next page:

TuneIn Radio

Logo Quiz (which i'm the worst at)

Tiny Tower (I was addicted for awhile!)

Draw Something

Songify (gotta love it!)

Forever 21 app (practical to have!)

Shazam (also very practical!)

Eye Color Changer (very practical when you're bored!)

Versagram (comes in handy!)

Sketch Pad (very convenient when you're bored)

Formspring (I love it! My FS is roxanneizzo)

MASH (in case you want to predict your future!)

That's what's on my iPod! Hope you enjoyed! Please note that this is not a paid advertisement!

Fluorecent Leopard Nail Tutorial

Fluorescent is huge this summer, so why not try this trend on your nails?

You'll need:

2 neon nail polishes (I like to use an orange/peach color as a base, with mint green spots)

Dotting tool

Black striper

Step 1:

Paint all your nails with a bright base color. You can really choose any color you want!

Step 2:

Using your dotting tool, create polka dots with a contrasting color

Step 3:

To create a leopard look, draw some brackets and some half circles around the dots. (If the way I explained it is too crappy, YouTube a tutorial on leopard nails)

And that's it! Hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

Since May Is Over, I Should Let You Know What My May Favorites Are

Hahaha I love long titles!

So MAY is over! Summer is basically almost here. Here are my favorite products and stuff this month!

1. Kloraine shampoo and conditioner: You haven't tried a shampoo and conditioner until you tried this. It's odd though. I use the one for blonde to light brown hair when I'm clearly a brunette. It's making my natural highlights brighter, though!

2. Essie's nail polish in Tart Deco: Oh my lord, you have to try this color! It's perfect for summer: it's a neon and a pastel color at the same time!

3. Sperry's: Not only are they so cool, they are also so comfortable and I've been wearing them everywhere!!

4. My tan purse from Zara: I just love it okay!

5. Cath Kidston iPod case: I switched back to my old case, and I love it soo much!!

6. Oven Break: Over this past month, I just developed an obsession with Oven Break. I just cannot beat the ''Challenge'' level.

Music wise:

My favorite song for this month would probably be ''Save You Tonight'' by One Direction if I would have to choose one.

Shoe Trend Alert: Boat Shoes!

This summer, boat shoes are huge!

Boat shoes are a great buy. Not only are they so cool and comfortable, they are also so versatile: you can wear them with shorts and a t-shirt for a casual look, or even pair them with a romper.

These also tie into one of my favorite looks: The IRONIC look! As much as they're very ''hip'', it's also odd for a young girl to be wearing such ladylike, mature shoes!

Although I own a pair of basic navy blue boat shoes, many brands make them in various colors and patterns, like neons, stripes and sequins. So, you can put a twist on a classy look!

Yeah, so boat shoes are in, go get yourself a pair! :)

What shorts are in for the summer?

This summer, shorts are crazier then ever. Actually, they're not that crazy. But some are! Whatever, from tie-dyed to cutoffs, everything is in!

Cutoffs are really cool for the summer. (that sounded somewhat corny!) I know you automatically think super short, but from a personal shopping experience at Zara yesterday, I saw the pre-cut ones are not a ridiculous length. And this is what I love-go to a thrift store, get a cheap pair of jeans, (you can probably find Levi's or Tommy Hilfiger or a decent brand like that, so that's great!) don't look at the legs of the jeans and cut them yourself. What I love about this is that you can control the length-if you're not comfortable with that supershort look, you can choose your length. You can also decide if you want the pockets visible or not.

High-waisted shorts are perfect for summer! My favorite way to wear these is with a crop top-I let the top ''billow'' over the shorts. Anyways, I have a whole post dedicated to this, so check it out!

If you really want a crazy look, go for patterned shorts! Something I've ben seeing on many fashion related Instagram accounts are American flag shorts, as you can see above. If you want something a bit less crazy, go for a floral or tribal print. If you want to play it safe, just pick a solid color. Just be sure to pair them with something basic!

One last trend is tie dye denim shorts, as you can see above as well. These have been in and out, but they are definitely back in for this year!

Hope my tips were helpful! Oh, and this was definitely not a ''short'' post! Ahh, I crack myself up!

A huge trend for summer is carefree, loose waves. Now, there are many ways to achieve this look, even if your hair is not naturally wavy. Plus, this style isn't supposed to be perfect, the messier, the better. This is how to achieve these waves.

Way #1:

This is how I achieve my waves. It is probably one of the hardest ways but whatever. I go under one of those huge blow dryers and I scrunch my hair with my fingers to get a more tousled look.

Way #2:

if you do not have natural waves, go to bed with your hair in a loose, messy braid and comb it out in the morning.

Way #3:

Rely on your natural texture! If you have smaller waves, brush them out!

Way #4:

If none of these work for you, you can always use a waver!

Hope I helped you!

My Apologies

I just wanted to apologise for not blogging as frequently as I used to.

I've been super busy with schoolwork. I have my 6th grade finals this week and I've had tons of studying. And, I also have my science fair. So, I've been really busy this past week.

But, I have 4 days off this weekend!

Anyways, this summer, I will try my hardest to post daily!

PLUS, I have another 2 hugee posts coming!

Spring And Summer Nail Trends You Should Definitely Follow

What is trending as far as nail polish for spring and summer 2012?

Well, what ISN'T trending for spring and summer 2012?

This spring and summer, nail trends are crazy!!! Everything from pastels to neons are in.

The first trend that is in are pastels. Pastels are perfect for when you want to paint your nails, but don't want anything too showy. My favorite shades are lilac, baby pink and mint.

Brights and neon shades are definitely huge! Everything from yellow to royal blue is in!

A huge trend is coral! You can go for more of a pale, muted peach (like Essie's Tart Deco) or go all out with a BRIGHT coral!

If you're not into brights or pastels, putty colors are your solution, like grey-beige and taupe. These are defenitely the more mature solution! :)

Time For My April Favorites!

It's MAY!

This is what I loved this month:

1. My grey and white striped crop top from American Apparel: I got this for my birthday and OH MY GOD! I wear it SO often! It's so comfy. Go to American Apparel and buy a crop top NOW!

2. EOS lip balm: Found my lip balm!

3. Body Shop 100% Natural Lip Roll On: I love it!

4. My new bike: The coolest thing EVA!

As far as music:

Well, my current favorite song is Everything About You by One Direction, but I only started listening to the song last week, so it's not an APRIL favorite, but if I look back on April, my favorite song was She'll Be Dancing by Basement Superheroes. I still love the song, though, go check it out!

That was what I loved in April. Hope I entertained you for a couple minutes!

Trend Alert: Lace

As you may know, lace is huge for spring! This is probably my favorite trend this year!

Lace tops are definitely in, alongside crochet tops for the summer and spring. You can dress them up or down, you can wear them with almost anything.

Yes, lace tops are in, but lace bottoms are even more in! Lace shorts are probably one of the biggest summer trends this year. I even saw, in a YouTube haul, baby blue lace shorts! Lace skirts are also huge, lace leggings as well! Wear any lacy bottom with a basic shirt.

Oh, and lace dresses are in!

Hope you enjoyed this post! Bye!

What To Wear: Talent Show Edition

It's soon gonna be May, and as far as I'm concerned, a lot of schools are hosting their talent show. Although your performance is much more important than your outfit, you may be stuck on what to wear. Here are my tips.

In case you care, my talent show is next week and I'm in 4 different acts, meaning I have to change 3 times.

-Make sure your outfit is YOU.

-Your outfit doesn't really have to fit the song you're doing.

-If you are in a dance or group performance, make sure you coordinate, although you don't have to match.

-Make sure you feel comfortable in your clothes, especially if you are dancing.

- You shouldn't be dressed too casual, you should be in the middle.

Those were my tips. If you are in a talent show, good luck! Hope I helped you!

Trend Alert: Denim Jackets

Denim jackets are huge this spring! They are the perfect in-between-spring-and-summer jacket. One of my favorite ways to wear them is with dresses: They can ''casuallize'' a dress for school (if that's a word) or make it wearable during colder weather. If you want a statement, buy an oversized jacket (check the men's department) and wear it with leggings. This trend is up to you!

Must Haves In A Closet

There are some things in a closet that you just NEED!

1: A decent pair of flats
These can be dressed up or down. Plus, you just NEED flats. You just do.

2: Some kind of basic sweater:

If you're gonna invest in a sweater, pick something basic. You can throw it over ANYTHING,

3: Good quality jeans

4: A basic skirt:

You just need this.

5: Colored jeans

The styling possibilities are endless.

6: Plain white button down or T-shirt

Dress em up, dress em down, dress em all around. Wear em here, wear em there, wear them anywhere!

Hope you enjoyed this post! Bye!

Extremely Simple Nail Tutorial

I've come up with this nail look that I really like. It requires absolutely no skill. This isn't even nail art! It's just something I thought looked very cool and that I wanted to share with you.

I used:

Insta-Dri "Pink Blink"

Nicole by OPI "Rainbow in the S-Kylie"

Top coat

Step 1

Paint your nails a solid color. For this manicure, I used a bubblegum pink as my base, but I did this once with black underneath. Any color can work, though. You'll want this to be pretty opaque.

Step 2

Once the polish has completely dried, apply a multicolored glitter polish over it. You still want to see the color underneath, but you don't want too little glitter on the nail.

Step 3

Finish off with a topcoat.

Here is the finished look:

Sorry for the bad image quality!

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Trend Alert: Hawaiian Shirts

No, this is not a joke.

You may be laughing right now. But, Hawaiian-inspired ''tacky tourist'', over the top shirts are in!

This is NO JOKE. I know you picture an old man wearing this, but by pairing these with a high-waisted bottom, this is actually a really cool ironic look. Make sure NOT to pair this with anything too baggy. Leggings, high-waisted short or skirts and skinny jeans are all that works.

I KNOW I'm crazy, but watch this be your favorite summer look!

Hope you enjoyed!

What's Trending For Summer 2012?

I KNOW summer's far away. But if you're smart, you should start your summer shopping, since stores tend to run out of sizes by the time you need them. So, here's what's in this year!

High-Waisted Shorts:

These are huge for summer! Whether paired with a blouse or a crop top, they are a statement, but nothing too bold.

Vintage Sunglasses;

When you want a subtle statement, retro sunglasses are perfect! Whether they have a floral pattern, are cat-eye, tortoise shell or whatever, every girl needs to have a pair!

Lace shorts:
I'm in a fashion fairy tale ♥

These are perfect for summer! I love the fact that they are old-lady inspired, but still modern. Paired with a pastel colored top like the picture above, this look is perfect!

Mint Jeans:

As you all know, colored jeans are huge, especially mint. I love pairing these with a white top and black flats, the perfect summer look!

Button Dresses:

I love button dresses! These are great for summer because of how soft and pretty they are. Plus, they are classic! They look great in any color and on any body type!

Black ballet flats:

Despite the leaf, basic black ballet flats are a great investment: They go with everything shown in this post, and are classic!

How To Succesfuly Wear A Crop Top!

It's been a while!

So crop tops are in! And I did do a blog post a while ago demonstrating how to wear a crop top, but I realised that the look I demonstrated was a bad idea. So, I found a new way to wear crop tops!

How do you wear this?

First, make sure your top is midlength. By that, I mean it reaches your hip. I normally get size large in tops so that they're longer and baggier, so you can follow my lead!

So, what I do is take a tank top and tuck it into my jeans or pants or whatever. I let my top billow over. I also like wearing crops with high-waisted shorts. That's what I would suggest for a tween girl like myself.

Crop tops are basically all over stores. Material Girl has a lot of great models. Forever 21 has many, too. I love American Apparel's midlength crop tops since they are all one size.

So, I hope you enjoyed this typical Tween Dreams post!

A Brief Overview Of What I've Been Loving In March 2012 (March Favorites)

March is already over, so I just wanted to do a brief March Favorites post.

1. My Material Girl harem pants: I love these things! So comfortable!

2. Kiehl's Blue Herbal Gel Cleanser:Love this! It really clears up my skin!

3. This Blistex lip balm I found: It smells absolutely amazing and makes my lips so soft!

4. Instagram app: I am somewhat addicted to Instagram ( my profile is private)

5. Crop Tops: I know this is kind of general, but I finally found a great way to wear crop tops, so I've been wearing mine often.

That was a brief overview of my March favorites, hope you enjoyed, bye!

UPDATED Skincare Tips!

Hey guys!

So I'm back to blogging regularly! :) Today, I'm going to do one of those classic useful beauty posts! Enjoy!

It is normal you get pimples, it's kind of unavoidable. But, you must take good care of your skin. If you wear makeup, make sure to never, ever ever go to sleep with makeup on. I recommend exfoliating at least once a week. Exfoliating too frequently isn't good. I put some scrub on a toothbrush, that really helps! Also, DRINK PLENTY OF WATER! This isn't important, but I like spraying my face with water in a spray bottle. (my must have!) If you have oily skin, use blotting tissues but MAKE SURE THEY'RE POWDER-FREE! The ones with powder don't work! The most important thing is to cleanse daily.

Hope my tips were helpful!

Trend Alert: Neon

If you've been reading this blog, you'll know that the 80's and 90's are back. Well, this post will be on ANOTHER 80's/90's trend: Neon!

Yes, neon is huge. But, obviously, yes the 80's are back, but really. You don't want to look crazy because it just looks odd. My suggestion is adding a neon accessory to a plain outfit. My favorite color combination for this is black, white and pink. What I mean is that let's say you're wearing a black and white outfit, you can add color with a pink watch or shoes or whatever. If you are wearing neon clothing, make sure to pick only one neon item in each outfit. (See my latest post) Neons do flatter everyone. Also, if you're wearing a neon top, I believe that basics work better than a multiple-colored top (although that really depends on the top) Yes, what I love about neons is how easy they are to wear: You can get any everyday accessory in a more colorful color and it will still be totally trendy without going over the top.

3 Ways To Wear: Colored Denim

Colored denim is huge for spring, so today I'm going to be posting the second post in my '3 ways to wear' series.

Colored denim has to be the statement piece in your outfit. You cannot overpower it with an even louder top. Stick to one bright color. Yes, there is colorblocking, but anyways...

Way 1: Lucy Hale is smart to pair mint colored heans with a lace top and a leather jacket. It is still way more of a statement outfit, but the Pretty Little Liars actress makes it work by picking neutral colors and letting the aqua denim be the only pop of color she uses. This is the perfect mix of edgy, feminine and trendy.

Way 2:  I love Kate Middleton's look because it's a mix of classy and trendy. Princess Kate balances out crazy coral jeans with a classic navy blazer and a silk scarf, and again lets the jeans stand out. It's a muted way to rock this trend-it's perfect!

Way 3:  Sometimes, you just have to take the easy way out! I love Dakota Fanning's look, it's so simple, but yet the most wearable look for colored denim. I also love how the actress pairs this look with flats - it's the perfect school look. Out of all 3 looks, this is the look I would most likely wear.

Hope you enjoyed this post! It's kind of like 3 ''Get The Looks'' in one!
