Happy New Year!

Happy 2012 guys! I don't want to sound like I'm repeating the exact same thing from my 'Happy Holidays' post, but I want to say the exact same thing: Thank you to all my followers and viewers for giving me 6,700 views in just 5 months! 2011 was a very big year for me, I hope it was the same for you. All the best for 2012!

Take Care,

Will My 2011 Trend Alerts Last Through 2012?

This is a very special post. Since today is New Year's Eve, I decided to evaluate all my 'Trend Alert' posts of 2011 and see which ones are still in and which ones are out. So here I go!

Varsity Jackets: MAYBE. My first Trend Alert! I feel like this trend has become too common. It really depends on what kind of varsity jacket you wear. It can't be too tight. It has to be baggy but short. So this trend really depends on the fit.

Colorblocking: YES. When this look is done properly, it's the perfect spring look!

Tie-Dye: YES. This retro trend can last another season.

Tribal: YES. Again, when it's done properly, this is totally cool.

Pattern Mixing: NO. This trend looks so clownlike and was just a passing fad.

Leopard Jeans: NO. This look is kinda over the top. Leopard leggings, on the other hand, are in!

Military boots: MAYBE. Like varsity jackets, this trend is kind of in, kind of out. In my opinion, I think Doc Martens are too chunky, (me + chunky shoes=NOOO!!) but the kind of army boots I have, from Rococo are totally still in! (That's not because I have them, they're still cool!) Even thin, sleek lace up ankle boots look amazing!

Faux Fur Jackets: YES. I love fur coats and vests!! : ) They'll never go out of style!!

Fur Motorcycle Jackets: YES. These are also totally cool!

Army Jean Jackets: MAYBE. This is more of a fall trend, and Fall 2012 is too far away to tell if this is in or not.

Polka Dots: YES. My most recent Trend Alert is TOTALLY still in!

Hope you enjoyed! Happy New Year!

How To: Grow Your Nails Succesfully!

Back in September, I did a How to Stop Biting Your Nails post. I gave you 4 months to try to stop, (I didn't do that on purpose!) and now that (I hope!) you stopped, here is the two-week challenge on how to grow your nails long, which we'll be doing together!

I used to have the worst bitten nails in the world! Last year, I tried to stop biting my nails, which was really hard at first. It's totally normal that when you first stop biting your nails, some nails will be long and some nails will be short. But, I hate when that happens! This is what I do: Sometimes I can't resist not biting my nails, and some nails ''break''. I hate when all my nails are all different lengths, so I clip (sometimes bite, shhh!!) all of them. I give myself about two weeks, and let them grow. After about a week or a week and a half, your nails will be a pretty length. But after two, maybe even three weeks, you will have the long, pretty nails of your dreams! Presently, my nails are short, but I kept them long for maybe about a month! Oh, and it`s also normal that when you first stop biting your nails, it`s normal that they`re a little week, but after awhile, they will strengthen up! : )

Let`s take my two week challenge and grow our nails as long as we possibly can! Your nails can go from...

THIS to....                                       THIS

Rihanna Inspired Nail Tutorial

I've been wanting to do this post for so long! I know the picture I'm using is from a while ago, but the nail art design is totally cute and trendy, not to mention easy! So here it goes!

You'll need:

Yellow nail polish

Black nail art device (whatever works for you! I'd use a dotting tool and a nail art pen.)

Step 1:

Paint all your nails bright yellow. Let dry thoroughly.

Step 2:

Using whatever black nail art device you want, start drawing smiley faces on every nail with the exception of your ring finger. On your ring finger, draw a sad face. Oh, and you can also just dip a thin brush from another nail polish into a black one, if it works for you.

Yes, that was my very straightforward tutorial! Hope you enjoyed!

New Year's Eve Outfit Ideas

No matter WHAT you're doing this new year's eve, you have the right to dress up! Here are my favorite looks for the new year:

Outfit 1:

Pair a black skirt with a knit cardigan and white shirt underneath. Finish with tights and leather boots.

Outfit 2:

For a semifancy outfit, rock a sweaterdress with leggings. Shoes are up to you.

Outfit 3:

Try a tutu! Wear this ballerina-inspired shirt with a relatively basic top to balance it out.

Outfit 4:

Wear the same thing as Outfit 1, but wear a faux fur vest instead of a cozy cardigan.

So here are my top picks for NYE. Please let me know your outfit ideas for New Year's.

Hope you enjoyed!

Trend Alert: Back to Basics

Before I go on with the post, I hope you all had a merry Christmas. (Well, I hope you enjoy all your holidays!) I wanted to do a trend alert on something I've been sporting this holiday season: Basics!

I am really into basic clothes and classic patterns. I feel like there's no reason to regret buying a solid coloured sweatshirt over some loud tee. The benefit of a basic piece is that you can wear it with possibly anything-a basic neutral chunky sweater can be dressed up or down, (a perfect NYE look) and can be thrown over any shirt. Plus, these peices are timeless. I also think a basic sweater and leggings is meant for accesories-bold watches, fun earrings and a necklace. You can also dress in neutral colors and add pops of colorful accesories. ANYTHING goes with a basic shirt. ANYTHING. I am actually wearing my favorite blue sweater as I type this! Look at the outfit abovee for my example of a perfect outfit!

Hope you enjoyed!

I won't have a chance to blog tomorrow, so I'd like to wish all of you Tween Dreams fans and non Tween Dreams fans a merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah and happy Kwanzaa (or whatever you celebrate!) Thank you guys so much for 6,178 views! I am so happy! In case you're wondering, the red font is only for this post, it was just more holiday-ish than my normal fuchsia writing! Happy holidays!!

Take care,

Roxanne & Tween Dreams!

Holiday Tag

Christmas eve is tomorrow (obviously), and I am dying to do this tag, (although I'm posting one up tomorrow) so here it is!

1.  What is your favorite Christmas movie?  Home Alone!!! I saw it twice this year!

2. Are you on the naughty or nice list? Nice!!!

3. What is your favorite Christmas song?''Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas'' and ''Jingle Bells''.

4. Have you ever had a white Christmas? I live in Canada, so YES!!

5. Where do you spend your holidays? It depends on the years: 2009-present, I go to my relative's country place on Christmas day, and  2010-present, I  spend Christmas Eve at my house.

6. Do you open any presents on Christmas Eve? Well, my tradition is that we see one side of my family on Christmas Eve, so yes, I open some presents on Christmas Eve.

7. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? No, and I won't even try!

8. What tradition are you looking most forward to this year? All of 'em!

9. Is your Christmas tree real or fake? F-A-K-E!

10. Hands down, what is your favorite holiday food and dessert? As for food, I love cranberry sauce. (And I like yam, but I hate sweet potatoes, so I just eat the melted marshmallows!) As for dessert, I love hot chocolate with 'the works'.

11. Be honest: Do you like giving or receiving gifts better? I am being honest: I love both!

12. What is your dream place to visit this holiday season? New York! It looks so pretty, just watch Home Alone 2 if you don't believe me!

13. What is a family recipe you love to help make? A tradition of mine is that I go over to my grandmother's house to bake Christmas cookies, so that. We have a lot of recipes, but I'm not really a cook yet. (I'm 11.) After all, I am Italian! : )

14. Are you a pro- present wrapper or do you fail miserably? I forgot how to wrap a present, (sad, huh?) but from what I remember I was pretty good!

15. Most memorable holiday moment: When I was 7 years old, I really wanted an iPod Shuffle, (the little square ones, remember 2007?) but the box that was addressed to me was HUGE and there was no chance that it would be the iPod. I was really sad, but turns out, I really got the iPod, and it was just in a huge pillow box to make it less obvious.

16. What made you realise the truth about Santa? Finding out about the Tooth Fairy.

17. Do you make New Year's resolutions and do you stick to them? Yes, but I don't stick to them.

18. What makes the holidays special for you? Just my whole family being together!

Hope you enjoyed! I tag YOU! Happy holidays!

Get The Look: Taylor Swift

Yes, another ''Get The Look''!! I loove the Taylor Swift outfit I chose, I'd definitely wear it myself! So here is the look that we're gonna be re-creating.

Shirt: Taylor wears a graphic sweatshirt with a big heart on it that looks like something you can find at Forever 21 or Urban Outfitters. Of course you won't find the EXACT sweatshirt as her, (well, only if you're lucky) but a similar graphic sweatshirt will do. Taylor also wears a black tank underneath the sweatshirt which is optional.

Pants: The ''Story Of Us'' singer wears black pants, (or are they liquid leggings?) but I'd say any jeans can do. I'd wear my black Levi's, but I doubt you have black Levi's. Liquid leggings might look cool.

Shoes: Although Taylor Swift wears oxfords, shoes are up to you!

Hope you enjoyed!

How To: DIY Lip Balm

I just gave you something to do this holiday break! Ha! This is something I really want to try, (I have a day off this coming Friday, now I know what I'm doing!) and so should you!

You'll need:

Microwavable 'thing' to put the Vaseline in. (what do you call it?)
*OPTIONAL* Extract

Step 1:
Using a plastic spoon, scoop the Vaseline into the THING THAT YOU CAN MICROWAVE (I don't know what it's called, okay?!) Add some extract if you please.

Step 2:

Microwave your mixture for 2 minutes and than let sit or put in the fridge for 20 minutes. When it's hard, it's ready to use. When you use it, think of ME! : D

So, that was my simple guide to making your own lip balm. Hope you enjoyed!

My Top 5 Fave Albums

This is NOT fashion related!!! But, for the holidays there is nothing better than receiving a brand new (physical) album! Plus, if you're stuck on what you want, you can ask for one of these! I love music as much or even more than fashion (doesn't mean I hate fashion!!)

5- Jessie J ''Who You Are'': I love this album!! If you like R&B mixed with pop, you'll love Jessie J. She can SING first of all (and by SING, I mean SIIIINNNNGGG!!!) and her songs are amazing. My personal favorite song off this album is ''Rainbow''.

4- Lady Gaga ''The Fame Monster'': I'm not really a fan of Lady Gaga's ''Born This Way'' or ''The Fame'' album (personally, more power to ya if you do!!) but I love this one! It's a great dance/pop album, and is very catchy, especially if you like her singles off this album (''Telephone'', ''Bad Romance'',''Alejandro'') My favorite song is either ''Dance In The Dark'' or ''Monster''.

3- Nicki Minaj ''Pink Friday''- You don't have to like rap to like this album! (But I DO, so yeah.) I just love all her songs! What I like about Nicki Minaj is that she can rap really well, but she can also sing! As for favorite songs, I like ''Save Me'', ''Moment 4 Life'',''Fly'' and ''Last Chance''.

2- Rihanna ''Rated R'': I LOVE this album! I actually got it by mistake last year (I wanted her ''Loud'' album instead) but I actually like this one better than ''Loud''! What I like about this album is not only is it very moody, it has such a variety of songs, meaning some songs are more pop/dance, some are mid tempo, some are moody ballads and some are more R&B. My fave song is ''Fire Bomb''.

1- Katy Perry ''Teenage Dream'': I loove this album! I got the CD last year, when it first came out, and I'm still not sick of it! You may know the 6 singles, but make sure to check out the full album! Every single track on this CD is my favorite song, but if I have to pick 2 favorites, they would be ''Pearl'' and ''Hummingbird Heartbeat''.

So now you kinda know what to ask for! I'm sorry I did this post too close to the holidays, I started it last week, but I never really got around to finishing it!

This is NOT a paid advertisement!! I don't know any of these singers personally, although I wish I did! : )

How To Spot a Fake Designer Bag

That awkward moment when you realise your  Louis Vuitton is fake.

This happened to me. A year ago, I was at the thrift store and I saw a beautiful, small multicolor Louis Vuitton purse on the floor. I checked if it was real, and it actually HAD the logo inside. A couple months later, in March, I found another one, same colors, similar model. I carried both of the bags with pride, until this summer. I was watching a Youtube video that gave tips on spotting a fake, and I did the test. One was fake, one was real. Here is the difference:

-The dead giveaway was: On Louis Vuitton purses, the LV design is always upside down in the back. On the small one, there was no difference between the front and back pattern.

-Another obvious reason was that the strap of mine always detached from the purse! Once, I was walking downtown and mu purse fell at least 3 times!! What gives? This is a purse that retails for about $1,000!!

-At the thrift store, the really good purses are behind glass. My real one costed $24.99 (cheap!!) and was behind glass. My FAKE one costed $11.99 and was ON THE FLOOR, FOR GOD'S SAKE!!

-Louis Vuitton multicolor designs never have red on them, only pink. The fake one did.

-Since the hardware and leather are good quality, all designer bags that have lots of hardware detailing and good leather are heavy. Fake hardware is light and hollow,

-On the real tag inside, it said Louis Vuitton on it, with the little LV design on the left of it. On the fake one, it said Louis Vuitton with a little ''R'' in a circle (I don't know what it's called, but Iithink you know what I mean.)

This is how I spotted a fake Louis bag, but look at small details, like stitching and hardware before you go ahead and buy any designer bag at a thrift store. If you buy one and it is fake, give it back immediately!

Hope you enjoyed!! Bye!

PS, When I found out my purse was fake, I wasn't sad, I was disappointed!!

Christmas Outfits and Tips

Hello fellow Tween Dreamers! (LAME!!) This is a post on holiday  outfit ideas and tips.. Hope you enjoy! This is NOT ONLY FOR CHRISTMAS, IT'S FOR WHATEVER HOLIDAY YOU CELEBRATE, DESPITE THE TITLE!

I really am in love with long sleeve tunics or sweater dresses with leggings. The one I got myself is a long-ish (not too long!) long sleeved black one with white
polka dots and a zipper going down the back. It's from Zara. What I was about to get which is more ''winterized'' is a chunky sweater to be paired with jeans. I LOVE that look, but the polka dot one was nicer. To dress up a little more, try a tutu! Last year, I wore a leopard one on X-Mas Eve, which was high wasted, tucked into a black t-shirt, which I had rolled up the sleeves, and it was really cute. The ballerina look is so cool! Also, try lace tights under a skirt or a sweater dress, it gives a great effect! Yeah, that's all I have to say!!

Hope you like my tips!!

Get The Look: Rihanna

Hello there!! I love, love love Rihanna's outfit: It's your perfect basic outfit! Plus, I'm a huge Rihanna fan! So here's how to get the look!

Rihanna Casual Style 2011 401x588 Rihanna Casual Style

Top: Rihanna wears a white button down blouse as a top. These are basically the easiest thing to find and are a super-practical staple to have in your closet! Hers is buttoned to about halfway, but you can control how buttoned or unbuttoned you want it to be.

Jeans: The ''We Found Love'' singer wears medium wash skinny jeans to ''casuallize'' the somewhat fancy blouse. But, the jeans you choose to wear don't neccesarly have to be medium: light or dark wash will also look fine!

Shoes: Although Rihanna sports nude pumps with her look, I'd wear colorful flats or pink Converse  to add color to this look, and just because I'm only 11! Boots can work well too!

Accesories: Rihanna's oversized clutch is cute, but you don't really need it to complete the look. But, the singer wears a ton of jewelry, which are a mix of silver and gold, so pile 'em  on!!

Hope you enjoyed! Bye!

Nail Trend Alert: Glitter!

Yes, I have an excuse! I haven't been blogging for the past week because my laptop broke down. But here is a post on what every nail polish brand is coming out with!

Don't shake the glitter of your nails! This holiday trend is huge right now. From Sally Hansen to Deborah Lipman to OPI, everyone has some kind of glitter! OPI's first collection to  feature glitter this year was the Katy Perry one, which I have a review on, but now, two newer collections are filled with glittery goodness: the Muppets one and the upcoming Nicki Minaj one (future review?) which have amazing colors. Nicole by OPI also has their holiday collection: the prettiest colors for the festive days!

Glitter isn't always practical, though. It can peel off if you are not careful. But, here are my tips!

-Use a topcoat and base coat

Here are my favorite glitter shades!

Revlon ''Facets of Fuchsia''

OPI ''Teenage Dream'' (of course! You know me!)

OPI ''Save Me''

Sally Hansen ''Rockstar Pink"

Nicole by OPI ''Snowman of my Dreams''

Nicole by OPI ''Rainbow in the S-Kylie''

Hope this was helpful!

Best Holiday Tops For Your Body!

Hello! It's time to get into the holiday spirit. So here's what to wear to always flatter yourself.

Curvy: Wear a ton of sweaters and sweatshirts with skinny jeans. Baggy sweatshirts look flattering on anyone, and chunky knits do too!

Tall: Tops that stop at your hips look amazing. Pair them with black tanks and skinny jeans. Also, try a top that ties at the bottom.

Petite: Try sweater dresses and long sleeve tops that are longer so that you can pair them with leggings for a cute look for any occasion. Make sure the patterns are always fun, though.

Hope this was helpful!

The Tween Dreams Holiday Gift Guide!

Yes, it's TIME! It's the end of November, so if you're smart, you should consider starting your shopping soon!

A tip: You should make a wish list to avoid the worst gifts ever! (Just to give people an idea of what you want!)

What to get a sibling:

You want to get your siblings something not too big, yet not too small. A CD you know they want is always something they'll enjoy. DVD'S are also a great idea! If you are kind of stuck, a gift card to somewhere you KNOW they like is always a good gift, but do make sure they shop there!

The Tween Dreams Gift Card Policy: When getting someone a gift card, make sure it's to somewhere useful for that person. If you don't know them that well, try to be very general: either get one to the mall or the bookstore. Also, if you want to get one from a store you THINK they'll like, only make it about $25, unless you're really sure.

What to get a friend:

Gifts among friends should be very small, just a little something to show you care. 15$ is my maximum, but if you're really close friends, you can go just a BIT over. Stick with homemade jewellery, or some Bath and Body Works hand sanitizers. Same should go for boyfriends.

What to get a relative:

I would suggest asking one of their parents or siblings before going ahead, but think about what they like. Pick out a bracelet for a female cousin. For your aunt and grandmother, silverware is always useful (kind of boring, though). Money or gift cards are always useful, as well. Never get anyone perfume or cologne, unless you know which one they like. If you know their taste, clothes are okay, but be very specific. Think of where they shop. Same goes with purses.

What to give a parent:

This is probably one of the most important.  CD'S are useful for everyone, so consider that as an option. DVD boxed sets are great for your father, but for your mother, candles and lotions from fancy bath shops are great. Try to spend roughly the same amount on each parent, because they are equally great! Same should go with siblings, if you have more than one.

So, I hope this was helpful! Let me know what YOU want for Christmas. Good luck shopping for all this! : )

Get The Look: Hailee Steinfeld

Time for ''Get The Look''! Hailee Steinfeld has great style, so I chose one of her looks. I love this outfit because it's appropriate for winter, but It's still adorable! Plus, I LOVE BEANIE HATS!!

T-shirt: Any slouchy, neutral shirt will do, but to steal Hailee's look, wear a quarter length version of a baggy top.

Pants: A pair of dark wash or black denim is necessary.

Hat: A beanie hat will add a grunge vibe to this look, which gives it an edge. The ''True Grit'' actress has a striped one, but if I'd wear this, I'd wear my favorite one I own, which is red.

Shoes: Hailee wears Converse, but Uggs or motorcycle boots work well too!!

Hope you enjoyed!

Trend Alert: Polka Dots

Another Trend Alert! My aunt, who is very trendy and I were talking about trends and stuff, and she said polka dots were all over Marc Jacobs' latest collection, so why not do a post dedicated on that?

Polka dots are appropriate for any girl, really! Perhaps you would want to go all out and go for a top covered in this print, or keep it minimal and stick with a scarf. Unlike stripes, polka dots are always flattering, if you get the right fit.. Here are outfit ideas for every body type:

Petite: Some polka dot leggings and a plain baggy shirt will work well.

Tall Rock a baggy polka dot top with any bottom. Sticking to a basic palette on top  is better, though.

Curvy: Really, any kind of top that fits well works. But, I would suggest to wear a polka dot scarf with a basic top.

The 3 Worst Holiday Beauty ''Trends''

Here is what you should leave at home!

1. ''Dewy'' skin: Some things should be shiny, some things shouldn't, like your face! Skin should stay matte, no matter what!

2. Fake ''bronze'' skin: Bronzer really isn't necessary! Unless it's natural, don't rock a tan, especially not in the winter!

3. Exaggerated false lashes: STARS ON YOUR EYELASHES? Keep your lashes simple, don't exaggerate!

There trends don't really apply to tweens, (sorry) but people of any age should know that this is TACKY!!

Update on Tween Dreams

Here is a quick update on my blog!

Hey guys! Keep requesting posts either by commenting on my posts, tweeting me (!/roxanneizzo) or e-mailing There will be no October favorites this month, and it's my fault! I was so buisy with my Halloween tutorials and thinking about ideas and stuff that I didn't get a chance to think about my fave products. Another thing is that I have a goal: at least 20 followers by my b-day, April 3rd. The views are going up like crazy, but I still have only 6 followers :( . To follow, you need either a Twitter, Yahoo or Google account, or you can follow by e-mail. So please follow and spread the word! I don't mean to sound pushy, but it's what needs to be done.

Color Block Nail Tutorial

It's been awhile since my last nail tutorial, so here's one! Since I was Katy Perry for Halloween, I did my nails inspired by her music videos, and I wanted to do one for ''Last Friday Night, so this is what I did!

It's the pinky!!!

Cover half your nails in tape and paint the other half in whatever color. Make sure the tape is well secured. There are two ways to do this next step. The easier way to do it is to let the coat you just did dry, and than cover it with tape and repeat the step, or you can let the top half dry again and just paint that half without any tape. You can really use any colors, but I used neons 'cause I was channeling the 80's. Add a top coat and you're done!!

TAG! 8 Most Worn Things

I was looking at another great blog, kayheartsmakeup16 and I noticed this tag was up there too!! I've wanted to do this tag for awhile, so here it is!

Most worn lip product:

Well, I don't wear makeup, but my most worn lipgloss is Royal Gloss by Rimmel and my most worn lip balm is EOS.

Most worn nail polish:

It's funny because I don't own a full-size bottle of this color, only a mini one, but I've put it on so many times and I love it! It's ''Teenage Dream'' by OPI.

Most worn top:
Ohh, well since my school has a dress code, my most worn top is just a plain white t-shirt from H&M.

Most worn purse:

My most worn purse is my Marc by Marc Jacobs navy blue Miss Marc tote bag. I've been wearing it almost every time I carry a purse with me for almost a year now!

Here is a pic of it, mine is navy, though:

Most worn earrings:

I don't wear earrings that often, but I have a pack from H&M that has 3 different sizes of pearls, gold balls and diamonds that I wear often. I pretty much always wear the biggest size.

Most worn shoes:

I often wear my white Converse, but I've recently been wearing my leather army boots daily!

Most worn perfume:

Purr by Katy Perry!!! : )

Most worn hair product:

I don't really use product, so really my Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship shampoo and conditioner!

So, hope u enjoyed! I tag you!!!

Love, Roxanne

How To: Rock Your Hair's Natural Texture

Heat is bad!! Your natural texture is beautiful, it's what you were born with! So if it's straight, curly or wavy, just rock it. Here's how to successfully do it!

While conditioner is in your hair, brush it with a wide-toothed comb to get rid of future knots.

Make sure all conditioner is out. After you get out of the shower, just wait about an hour or two and your hair will be dry. Use a leave-in conditioner to smooth away frizz.

Hope this was helpful! Bye!

Get The Look: Selena Gomez

I should continue this series because it's fun! Last post was on Ke$ha, (the look was surprisingly wearable!) but this post will be on a celebrity you all know and love, (hence the title) Selena Gomez!

This is the outfit:

Any black leggings will do, but if you want to go all out, wear liquid leggings! See my Clothes To Get Now post for a cheap pair from Zara.

Stores like H&M, Forever 21 and American Apparel will sure have something similar to what the ''Love You Like A Love Song'' singer wore. Just wear a loose black and white striped shirt or a dress in a similar pattern.

Wear a red scarf, preferably a circle scarf. A pink scarf can also work. If you really want to copy Selena's style, tie the ends of a scarf together and wrap it around.

This is where you can get creative. Selena wears boots here, but you can wear flats, too! Even Uggs can work well!

Slip on a couple of dog tag necklaces to complete your look!

This ''Get The Look'' is so much more different than my last one! It's better to be general than to give links! Hope you enjoyed!!

How To: Get Rid Of Oversized Hair Knot

We all get it. It's only normal that you get a huge knot towards the back of your hair, otherwise known as ''The Ball''. To remove this annoying thing, there is a procedure that you have to follow.

Step 1:
Clip your hair up, excluding ''The Ball''. Mist your knot with your favorite detangler.

Step 2:
Using a wide-toothed comb, gently pick at the knot until it's gone. Your hair will feel gross, it's only normal.

Step 3:
Brush your hair to get rid of future knots.

How to prevent future knots:

The only way to stop ''The Ball'' to form is to brush your hair often, especially in the winter, where your hair is more likely to get tangled.

So, hope this is helpful!

How To: Step Up Your Style

Hey guys!! So, I get it, we all want new clothes. But do we really need them? Here's a guide to show you how to re-vamp your clothes-the DIY way!!

You want: New Uggs
Tip: Roll the tops of your Uggs up for a nicer look. It'll dress up your favorite pair of Uggs

You want: A circle scarf
Tip: Tie the ends of your favorite scarf together. I use this trick and I really love the results!

You want: Fun jewelry
Tip: Make your own bracelets! I have a tutorial up on how to make braided friendship bracelets, but you can also make beaded ones. All you really need is beads, just get creative!

You want: A more feminine jacket
Tip: Adding any kind of scarf adds so much to any coat! To add a girly touch, add a girly scarf. The same rule goes to add an edge to a look.

So I hope these tips were helpful! There will be way more fashion posts now on, so stay tuned!

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween guys!
I am so excited! Have a great night!!! This is not only a post to wish you a happy Halloween, also to thank you! My Halloween tutorials have ridiculous amounts of views for a fairly new blog. So thank you for your support!

Also, time to announce who I am dressing up as. I don't have a tutorial because I wanted it to be a surprise, but I am...
Katy Perry!!

Pretty obvious once you think about it! So excited! The dress I have is from the ''California Gurls'' music video, the dot candy one.

So hope you have a great night and thank you!!!!!

Eerie Halloween Makeup Tutorial

WHAT? A makeup tutorial on Tween Dreams? Must be dreaming. No, don't be fooled into thinking this is a wearable look, and pay close attention to the word 'Halloween'!

I saw this really creepy commercial with a lady that had eyes painted on her eyelids, so I thought it would be a great look to re-create if you forgot it was Halloween last minute and you need something to wear.

All you'll be needing is a white eyeshadow and a black felt tip eyeliner.

Start by applying white eyeshadow. Next, using your eyeliner, draw a pupil on your lids. Now, continue the circle. Draw eyelashes and you're done, so you have eyes when you close your actual eyes!!! Just don't walk around with your eyes closed!

Lady Gaga ''Born This Way'' Halloween Tutorial

Wow! Halloween is approaching!! So how 'bout I finally do the follow-up to my Lady Gaga Halloween Tutorial?

You'll need:
Blonde wig tied in a side ponytail
Pale pink hair extension
Black and white face paint
Black tux

This eerie look requires face paint because you have to be a monster. Use that to create a skull design on your face and neck, using the picture above.

Lady Gaga is wearing a tux while sporting this look in her ''Born This Way'' music video, so it's time to raid your father's, uncle's or even brother's closet for a black tux and white shirt. This look also requires a bow tie, available at any thrift store.

Hair: Wear a long blonde wig, and tie it in a side ponytail. Add some light pink extensions. I even saw the actual wig, so buy that if you can.

So, that was a brief tutorial. Hope you enjoyed!!!!!

Lady Gaga Halloween Tutorial

I was requested to do this one a while ago, but I didn't know what outfit to do, so that's why it's not up yet. But here it is! I will do another one tomorrow, with a different look.

This is the dress I chose, but there is so many options, so that's why there's no ''You'll Need'' column today!

You're Mother Monster herself. It would look stupid if you didn't go all out! So, AGAIN, I know I say this a lot, but I can't do a thourough makeup tutorial, since I'm only 11, but I can give pointers. You can paint the lightning bolt, a Gaga trademark from when she first came out and attach a diamond for a classic Lady Gaga look, or just really do dramatic eyes and EXTREME lashes, possibly even colored ones. So just go all out!! Dramatic lips are also a must.

Oh my God, the possibilities!! A tip is to watch all her videos and look at a bunch of pictures and decide which one you'll get reconized the most with. I really love the one shown above, but I think the most facinating one is the meat dress she wore to the VMA'S in 2010, but I don't want you to get salmonella and I don't know how to make it. If I get an idea, I'll comment explaining it. Also, a simple look is a leotard with a hood and dramatic sunglasses, or the mirrorball dress which is easy to make using the right glue and mirrored squares. How to make the one is simple using papier mache. All of Lady Gaga's dresses have a dramatic shape, so attach wire at the bottom. Sorry for the vagueness, but it's really up to you how you want to interprate the look.

It really depends on the look you want to portray. If you go for her ''Poker Face'' music video look, go for the blonde bangs and the bow. For any more recent look, go for either long blonde hair or yellow waves. Even turquoise locks are something she has sported, if you watched the MMVA'S.

So that's it! I wish I can go more in thourough detail, but it's really hard to interprate all of this style chamelion's looks in one tutorial!!

Tell me below what Gaga look you like best below!

Strawberry Shortcake Halloween Tutorial

I am mad! Why? Because they changed Strawberry Shortcake's look! To pay tribute to the older outfit and hairstyle, how 'bout a Halloween tutorial?

PS, when selecting this picture, turns out there was an even more vintage version!!

You'll need:
 Oversized strawberry hat
Pink and green striped long-sleeve shirt
Baggy jeans (preferably light wash)
Red sweater or scarf
Short red flippy wig
False lashes
Clear lip gloss

No extreme makeup is necessary, but false lashes are an important part of this costume. Apply some according to the directions on the box. Next, apply clear gloss after applying balm. (This step is optional) Next, using a brown eyeliner, dot freckles all over your face.

Wear a pink and green striped t-shirt if you can find, but any striped long sleeve shirt will do, as long as there is some kind of pink in it. You can't forget about the  hat! Buy a large straw hat, paint it pink and attach ribbon, which should be tied in a bow and have huge strawberry. Light wash denim jeans will work well for this look, but they should be baggy to go with the country-girl look. Tie a red sweater or t-shirt around your waist.

A short, flippy red wig is ideal for your look. The hat should've went in this part, sorry!!

So I guess that's the look!! Hope you enjoyed!

Black Swan Halloween Tutorial

Ahh finally!!! Haven't done one in ages!! If I'd pick a second costume to be, I'd be this. (Natalie Portman's character in Black Swan)

 You'll need:
Black tutu
Black leotard
Black eye makeup/face paint shaped as wings
Black tiara
Dark red lipstick
Pale foundation

Start by piling on tons of pale foundation. Create wings using black and brown face paint around your eyes. Use the picture above as a reference. Finish off with dark red lips and you're done!

You're portraying a ballerina. Really. What else to do than a tight top bun? Finish off with a tiara, and your look is done!

Again, you're portraying a ballerina, so wear any black leotard with a black tutu, although the one in the movie is decked out in feathers and glitter. It really doesn't matter how it is decorated, as long as it's a black tutu and leotard.

Hope you enjoyed!

Tips...PART 2!!!

Ahh great to be back blogging!! It feels like it's been so long, but, really only 2 days!!! I had to take a Halloween tutorial break. Sorry, but I did too many and I'll still continue doing them, but not at this moment! So I wanted something that can be used year-round, unlike my costume tutorials, so how 'bout a sequel to Tips?!
  • Never pop a pimple! It'll just get worse
  • Although I was strictly against it last post, I tried an eyeshadow palette at the dollar store for Halloween, and it worked AMAZING, so maybe you can buy some at the dollar store!
  • The #1 mistake tweens make is the second they step in junior high, they pile so much makeup on! Start with a little, than build it on!
  • Never buy a knockoff anything (well, knockoff Keds are o.k, 'cause they are more comfy)
  • Don't try too hard to be something you're not! It pays off to be yourself!
  • While cleaning out your junk drawers, only put very important things there, the rest store away in a tote bag, with your closet.
  • Never be shy to request posts to me, I love getting ideas from you!
  • Follow me on Twitter:!/roxanneizzo
So yeah, that was just random but helpful tips!!!!
You saw the second-to-last tip, so do it!!!

PS, My ''Kathy Beth Terry Halloween Tutorial'' has 133 views!! Thank you!

Trend Alert: Army Boots

I am fed up of doing tutorials!!! I missed some days, but I will make up for it, but let's just do a trend report!

A cool trend is army boots, which I own myself. They're pretty chunky, but still sleek and fashionable. These can be worn with anything, from leggings to skirts and always look great. Something I find so cool and in right now is army boots with dark, cable-knit leg warmers.  Mine were a Christmas present, but there are cool ones from the brand Material Girl, which is amazing! Doc Martens are also making a comeback, so those are also cool!

So go out and get your army boots!

Hair Bun Tutorial

Buns in your hair are so practical, so why not do a tutorial?

You'll need:

Hair brush and comb
Lots of bobby pins and barrettes!!!

Step 1:
Brush your hair, as usual

Step 2:
Flip your head upside down and twist it.

Step 3:
Start forming your bun. Use your comb to straighten any bumps. Make your bun wider if you like

Step 4:
Pin any excess hair in place

So that's how to form a perfect bun! You can either do a top bun, high bun in the back of your head, or a low bun!!!

Bye guys!

Snooki Halloween Tutorial

This post was scheduled for yesterday, but I'll do it today!

You'll need:
Bronzer or orange face paint
Black or animal print dress
Black wig with pouf
Smokey eye kit
False lashes
Fuzzy slippers

Here is a picture of Snooki herself:

The whole Jersey Shore cast is known to be super-tanned, so wear tan foundation and bronzer for a realistic look. But, it's Halloween, so if you want to play up the character, use orange face paint for your face and neck. Finish off with smokey eyes and fake lashes.

Snooki has many signature outfits, but her main one is a tight-fitting dress with a cardigan over. Now, whether it's plain black or animal print, it doesn't matter, but whichever one you choose, you should have the opposite color for the cardigan. Finish off with chunky, fuzzy slippers

Duh! Wear the signature Snooki wig with the pouf. Enough said.

Nails (special column for this tutorial):

Wear fake French tip nails.

Hope you enjoyed!

Smurfette Halloween Tutorial

Are you feelin' blue? You shouldn't! Have a ''smurfy'' good time this fall with a cute tutorial sure to turn heads. I tried this two years ago, but unfortunately, it didn't work out for me. But now that the Smurf movie came out, accessories are so much easier to find!

You'll need:
Blue face paint
White dress
Blonde wig
White hat
Blue bodysuit or turtleneck

Here is a photo of Smurfette herself:

Sorry if it's small, but you should start by painting yourself blue. Next, just wear false lashes or lots of mascara. Also paint your neck.

Outfit and accesories:

Smurfette always wears a white dress. This is the trickiest part with this costume, which is the reason why I didn't sport it two years ago. Halloween is normally cold, especially where I live, so you can't just go with the dress. You'll need a bodysuit, a blue one so it can match up with your skintone. So if you can't find one, dye one blue. You'll also need a white hat, which is sold at costume stores. Carry a flower with you. Done!!!

So hope ya enjoyed! Comment if you find the Smurfs movie SO CUTE!!!!!!

Katy Perry Inspired Nail Tutorial

Before I start this, I would love to say that my Kathy Beth Terry Halloween tutorial is officially the most popular, at EIGHTY SOMETHING page views!!! I'm so happy, so to celebrate, here is a Katy Perry inspired nail tutorial!

You'll need a hot pink nail color, black nail polish, a dotting tool or back of a bobby pin.

Step 1:
Paint your nails pink
Step 2:
Once the pink has dried, pour some black nail polish on a hard surface you don't mind getting dirty. Using the bobby pin, dip into polish and make dots.
Step 3:
Finish off with a topcoat and you're done!!!!!!!!!

Hope you enjoyed!!!
